APPLICATE uses different approaches to interact with relevant stakeholders, with the aim of engaging, informing and empowering them to adapt to Arctic changes and their far-reaching impacts on the environment and communities. In turn, stakeholders provide the project with an external perspective and feedback, ensuring that the products generated are tailored to user needs, and maximizing their relevance and usability. Applied approaches to stakeholder interaction are user group meetings, attendance to and presentations at relevant events and a blog.

User Group

APPLICATE applies the focus group technique to collect and analyze qualitative data in a guided discussion between a small and diverse group of stakeholders.

This technique relies on group interaction and dynamics that stimulates brainstorming, discussion, exchange of ideas and contribution from participants.

Conference

Events

Many relevant Arctic events provide chances to present to and interact with stakeholders, e.g. conferences, workshops, seminar, meetings…

APPLICATE also participates in the user engagement task group of the EU-Arctic Cluster, a network of different EU-funded H2020 projects focusing on the Arctic
