PAMIP workshop, 24-27 June 2019, Devon, UK

Aims and Scope

The Polar Amplification Model Intercomparison Project (PAMIP) investigates the causes and global consequences of polar amplification, through creation and analysis of an unprecedented set of co-ordinated model experiments. The workshop aims to present early results from PAMIP and related modelling activities, and to strengthen collaboration between PAMIP contributors.

Participation

The workshop has space for 30 participants, by invitation from the PAMIP co-chairs (Doug Smith, James Screen, Clara Deser). Participants will have their lodging and meals provided, but are expected to arrange their own travel. If lack of travel funding is prohibitive, please contact the PAMIP co-chairs.

Venue and Travel

The workshop will be held at Dartington Hall in South Devon. Accommodation and meals will be provided on-site. The nearest train station is Totnes, easily accessible from London, Bristol or Exeter airports. The workshop will begin with welcome drinks and dinner on the evening of the 24th June, and will finish by midday on the 27th June, to allow for evening flight departures.
